Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Wow, I am sitting here wet in science class. Soaked. I went to the bathroom and used a plethora of paper towels. I decided instead of getting mad about being soaking wet, while walking in the rain, I decided to thank God for the rain. To thank Him for the things that wouldn't exist without the rain. I thanked him for the need for rain. The beauty of rain. The majesty of rain. Once I got to class, I wasn't so mad that I was wet!
On another note, I sat down with a good friend today and really got in depth with where different ministries stand on campus and what we are really doing. What were some of the wins this year. Where did we lack this year? I am so thankful to be involved in something like BCM where we are given all the resources in the world in order to spread the gospel. We are so blessed. But in examination, there is so much more we could do to serve our campus and peers. So much more we could do to encourage spiritual growth. So much more we could do to create unity. There are some awesome ideas being tossed about and I am ready for spring. I'm ready to see new leaders rise up in the ministry. This could be make our break for some people.
Quote of the week: "Visions are born of men and women who are CONSUMED with the tension between what is and what could be" I am praying that God gives me these visions and wisdom. Pray with me.

To blog, or not to blog?

Don't really know why blogging has been on my mind lately. Seems like a cool way to get across some of my thoughts and to have them saved somewhere to go back and look on later down the road. The name comes from one of my favorite Switchfoot songs, called "Learning to Breathe" Here is the link on Youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awu_VEEBJHY . Below this post is the lyrics. Describes my life in trying to seek God and learning to live for him, sometimes the hard way.

If you dont know, my twitter name is "iwearsongs", which is very appropriate seeing as I love music. A lot of what I will probably write will include a tune that I am carrying around in my head, or is on repeat on my ipod, or is waking me up in the morning.

Hello, good morning, how ya do?
What makes your rising sun so new?
I could use a fresh beginning too
All of my regrets are nothing new

So this is the way
that I say that I need You
This is the way
This is the way

That I'm learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that You and
You alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies

Hello, good morning, how ya been?
Yesterday left my head kicked in
I never thought I could fall like that
Never knew that I could hurt this bad

I'm learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that You and
You alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies

So this is the way
that I say that I need You
This is the way
That I say I love You
This is the way
That I say I'm Yours
This is the way
This is the way
